What does an executive health coach actually do?

An executive health coach is a catalyst for high-performing professionals to optimize their metabolic health, energy, and stress resilience. The work combines data-driven protocols, habit psychology, and transformative insights tailored to the realities of demanding careers.

In my work specifically, that means functional bloodwork analysis, continuous glucose monitor data, personalized nutrition strategies, and weekly accountability, all built around your actual schedule.

The surface-level goals are real. Most clients come to me wanting to lower their A1C, optimize their bloodwork markers, and build habits that hold up through busy seasons, travel, and demanding client projects.

But the true transformation goes deeper. It is having more energy for your spouse at the end of the day. It is being there for your first grandkid's first steps. My programs are designed to help you live a better life now so that you can die young as late in life as possible.

How is working with a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner different than a dietitian?

I bring the same analytical rigor to your health that I used to bring to a Big 4 engagement. We start by assessing where your body is right now, then build a protocol around your specific results. Depending on the program and what we find, that might mean reviewing recent bloodwork, running new functional bloodwork, adding a CGM to capture real-time data, or running a deep symptom assessment. We use the right tools for what we are trying to solve, not a one-size-fits-all template.

You also get someone who has lived your schedule. I spent a decade in consulting and Big 4 public accounting, traveling weekly, eating in airports, sitting through client dinners I didn't want to be at, and trying to stay healthy through busy seasons. I know what advice actually works in that life and what doesn't.

Do I need to be local or do you coach virtually?

Coaching is virtual! Coaching calls are held virtually on Zoom.

I work with clients across the United States and have roots in Denver but also serve many clients in Scottsdale, AZ. In-person meetings can be arranged for Phoenix-area clients, but they're rarely necessary.

How fast can I expect to see changes?

Energy improvements often happen fast, within 2 to 3 weeks once we get your nutrition and sleep dialed in. For A1C, we typically see meaningful improvements starting at the 12-week mark. Cholesterol responds in 8 to 12 weeks for most people. A realistic target for weight loss is 8 to 20 pounds of fat loss over 12 to 16 weeks for most clients.

That said, results vary by client. I cannot guarantee any specific outcome, and your individual results will depend on your starting point, your consistency, and your unique physiology.

Is this covered by my HSA or FSA?

It depends. You can pay using your HSA or FSA credit card directly.

Whether the charge is reimbursable depends on your specific plan and provider. Most clients confirm with their HSA or FSA administrator before enrollment to avoid surprises. I provide receipts with all the documentation you need to submit. I am not a medical professional and cannot guarantee any service is covered.

Do you accept insurance?

No, I do not accept insurance. Unfortunately, insurance today is designed to cover sick-care related services after a health event has already occurred.

My services are paid out of pocket or through HSA/FSA accounts. After you've purchased a program, you can ask your insurance provider whether they reimburse health coaching or nutritional therapy as an out-of-network benefit. As I am not a medical professional, some plans cover a portion. I can provide receipts with the necessary information for you to submit a claim if you decide to try.

Do I need a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to work with you?

No.

You don't need to use a CGM, however CGMs are included in both the 1:1 Executive Coaching program and the A1C and Energy Reset group program and strongly encouraged because of how helpful they are.

If you've never used one, don't worry. I'll walk you through the application, the app setup, and what to look for in the data. CGMs have become one of the most powerful tools in my work because they show what's actually happening inside your body, in real time, with zero guessing.

Do you work with both men and women?

Yes! I coach both men and women.

That said, hormonal context matters, and I tailor recommendations based on what's relevant for each client's stage of life and physiology.

What happens on a discovery call?

A discovery call is 30 minutes by Zoom. We'll talk about what's going on with your health, what you've already tried, what your goals are, and whether one of my programs is the right fit. I'll be honest if I don't think we're a match. If we are, I'll walk you through which program makes sense for you, what's included, and what to expect. There's zero pressure to enroll on the call, but those who do get a jump start on their goals and seeing results quickly.
